WA: Man in court over assaulting 7 month old son
A 23-year-old man has appeared in a West Australian court charged over fracturing theskull of his baby son during an argument with the child's mother.
Police will allege JOEL NATHANIEL MEREDITH had gone to hit his de facto partner duringan argument, as the woman picked up the seven-month-old baby intending to leave the house.
But the woman shied away, and MEREDITH allegedly struck the baby's head.
MEREDITH was charged with grievous bodily harm after the incident, which happened onSaturday morning at Ninga Mia, in the Goldfields city of Kalgoorlie.
He's appeared in Kalgoorlie Magistrates Court today, where his bail has been continued.
He'll next appear in the court on September 13.
