NSW: Jury sent home in boy manslaughter trial
SYDNEY, Dec 2 AAP - A jury in the trial of a 12-year-old boy charged with manslaughter
was sent home after being unable to reach a verdict today.
The boy has pleaded not guilty to the manslaughter of six-year-old Corey Davis, who
drowned in the Georges River at Macquarie Fields, south-west of Sydney, on March 2 last
year.
Justice Timothy Studdert in the New South Wales Supreme Court sent the jury out to
consider its verdict at 2.25pm.
At 4pm they had still not reached a verdict and were sent home by Justice Studdert.
The jury will return tomorrow morning to continue deliberations.
