SA: Premier negotiates with Italian car maker
ADELAIDE, Feb 4 AAP - The South Australian government is negotiating with Italian car
giant Fiat in a bid to have the company set up manufacturing facilities in Adelaide.
SA premier John Olsen has met with Fiat officials in Turin to put a proposal to them,
which included some government incentives.
He said today that, if successful, it could result in two of Fiat's subsidiary companies,
Teksid, a magnesium die caster, and Comau, a tooling group, setting up manufacturing plants
here.
Mr Olsen said Fiat was keen to establish a rest-of-the-world …
